In the lead-up to the end of the year, we’ve had some rewarding months, winning a strong pipeline of future projects across all our operating companies and sectors.

Our teams continue to successfully build on our unique offering as an integrated solutions provider across infrastructure, assets and services, and resources, positioning our companies to achieve ongoing profitable growth in the coming years.

Our recent wins include Victoria’s North East Link early works, Stage 2 Monash Freeway upgrade and Sunbury Line Upgrade, as well as New South Wales’ Western Sydney International Airport bulk earth works and the Sydney Metro City & Southwest Pitt Street Station.

In Queensland, Broad added Brisbane’s new Inner City South State Secondary College to its portfolio, and Thiess signed a significant six year extension at the Curragh Mine which was the result of several years of planning, including building a strategic partnership with the client.

Our results and project wins follow our disciplined focus on safety and operational excellence, our collaboration across teams and functions, and our use of common systems, which help us manage risk, share knowledge and innovate.

I want to thank each of you for your ongoing contribution to our business. This edition of Pulse puts a spotlight on our people seizing every opportunity to improve outcomes, as well as celebrating UGL’s 120 years of history. Safely and reliably delivering value for our clients, communities and shareholders position us well for the future.

These months have us focused on quarter four delivery and 2020 planning. Please ensure your safety and that of your workmates is your first priority, in every aspect of your job. In doing so we create a work environment that enables everyone to be effective, to learn more and enjoy reaching their best. It’s what makes ours a great place to work.
