A message from the CEO
Since joining the CIMIC Group in 1998, I’ve worked across most parts of the organisation in Australia and overseas, and it is people, the opportunities and the challenging projects and businesses we run that have kept me both excited and committed to the company.
And as I get around our business, I hear the same from our people - that the best parts of their jobs are the technically challenging and innovative work that they deliver as part of a team, as well as the opportunities for career development and progression that we offer within the Group.
The very nature of our international operations and large-scale projects means that our achievements are always driven by team work. Our projects require inclusive, diverse and high performing groups of people, which is why we are working hard on improving equity, inclusion and fairness.
I greatly value being part of the CIMIC Group team, and I’m really pleased this edition of Pulse shares stories of our people supporting each other and shaping how we work together for the better.
In the past month we’ve reported news of UGL and CPB Contractors securing more than $2 billion in transport, social infrastructure and services projects including Auckland International Airport in New Zealand, Campbelltown and Nepean Hospitals in NSW and Cross River Rail Alliance in Queensland.
These contracts are a mix of new and repeat business and reflect the value clients place in both the capability and capacity of our teams, and the ongoing commitment to the safety of our people and the positive outcomes we deliver for them and the communities in which we live and work.
Together we are building a diversified portfolio of projects, driving towards sustainable growth in our work-in-hand, revenue, profit and shareholder returns.
Thanks for the efforts and keep up the good work.

Michael Wright
