UGL Milperra rail safety solution
UGL has developed a door release system which can be activated by rail passengers in the event of an emergency, and monitored and operated by onboard rail crews. The Internal Emergency Door Release (IEDR) showcases capability in design and delivery of safe systems, electronics, software and product manufacturing at the UGL Milperra facility. The device was a result of collaboration across UGL’s Information & Technology and Rail and Defence divisions.
